In late 2017 I had the privilege of working with one of the most well known restaurants in Southern Illinois, Don Sol Mexican Grill. I managed their social media marketing for their Marion and Carbondale locations. During this time I mostly focused on running paid advertising for their business and took care of the creative side making banners and flyers to post both on Facebook and Instagram. We ended business after six months due to a change in management. Aside from working with this client I also got heavily involved in "flipping" instagram accounts. Growing a following, and then selling them for a profit. It was all very insightful and I learned plenty.
After getting involved in social media marketing for about a year I took interest in e-commerce. I took what I learned through social media marketing and implemented it into e-commerce. To be more specific I focused on the "drop ship" fulfillment model using the Shopify platform. I currently focus part-time on my e-commerce ventures. I am no where near where I want to be. I have a lot to learn. However, I have learned enough to create multiple online stores and have helped others create their own online businesses. I have been successful putting content together and making it viral on social media which has helped increase sales. Here are some examples of online stores I have created as well as viral videos I have launched on social media.
In college I studied Radio, Television, and Digital Media with a specialization in Electronic Journalism, hence my interest for digital media and digital marketing, as well as a double major in Spanish. While in school I joined their award-winning student run news cast and participated as a news anchor and weather anchor. I was also a part of the production team on the backend. I enjoyed it very much while in school and am still trying to pursue it. If you would like to see my demo reels and some audio pieces I have left them below.
